According to FranceAgriMer, spring crops, although lower than last year, are in better condition than winter crops and the weekly situation is stable:

Spring barley: 73% „good to very good“, unchanged on the week, compared to 77% last year.

Maize: 81% „good to very good“, unchanged during the week, compared to 86% last year. Maize sowing has finally been completed after weeks of delays due to heavy rainfall.

The disappointing yields and qualities for winter barley for most regions are causing slight unease, leading to wheat being watched with extra attention.

Conditions for winter crops, as published by FranceAgriMer, continue to deteriorate:

Soft wheat: 60% „good to very good“, down 2 points from a week ago, compared with 81% last year to date.

Durum wheat: 62% „good to very good“, down 1 point over the week, compared to 69% last year.

Winter barley: 63% „good to very good“, down 1 point from a week earlier, compared to 82% last year.
